Connecting-Non-Prescribers-To-HCPs-For-Meaning-Reporting

A client came to us with a reporting challenge tied to a very specific audience. They wanted to run a series of programs for biological coordinators—individuals who support HCPs in physician offices but aren’t prescribers themselves and don’t have NPIs.

The goal was to measure the effectiveness of these programs in a meaningful way. To do that, they needed a way to connect each biological coordinator back to the HCPs they support for reporting and analysis. The catch? They didn’t want to put that responsibility on the biological coordinators during self-registration. And to complicate things further, those relationships aren’t always one-to-one—one coordinator may support multiple HCPs.

Instead of forcing a brittle workaround, we focused on modeling the relationship correctly.

Speakcore supports profile associations, which allow one attendee to be linked to multiple entities, each with its own relationship type. For this client, we introduced a new association type specifically for HCP relationships. When a sales rep adds a biological coordinator to an event—either by inviting them pre-event or reconciling attendance after the event—they’re prompted to associate that coordinator with the appropriate HCPs before completing reconciliation.

Because the client already had a real-time CRM integration in place, reps could search HCP profiles directly from their CRM while creating those associations. That meant the final reporting didn’t just show biological coordinators—it tied each one back to the correct HCPs using CRM identifiers, even when multiple relationships existed.

The result was cleaner data, more meaningful reporting, and no added friction for the biological coordinators themselves.

The takeaway? Good data doesn’t come from asking end users to do more—it comes from designing systems that reflect how relationships actually work.
